Level 3 Youth & Community Work
Hours are usually 6.30pm – 9.30pm each Wednesday evening. The course is 120 hours of taught and directed learning time which will mainly be delivered on Wednesday evenings at the Canoe Centre, Castle Green, Hereford and 120 hours of supervised practice.
The Course will cover the following units:
• Values and ethics in youth work
• Group work in youth work
• Youth Work and Informal Education
• Planning and delivering youth work
• Evaluating and reviewing youth work
• Working in organisations and teams
• Assessing needs in youth work
• Working with partner organisations and communities
Assessment is by portfolio evidencing the required knowledge and learning outcomes.
The course will cost £100 to include registration and assessment and will lead to the Level 3 qualifications which is nationally recognised qualification for part time youth workers.
