Representation and Advocacy
Our work to voice the interests of our members and the sector is carried out at local, county wide, regional and national levels.
We relate with Children’s Services through the Positive Contributions outcome group, and through the Alliance Children and Young People interest group.
We have been fully involved in the regional infrastructure network for the Sector Destination West Midlands.
We are part of the Herefordshire Infrastructure Consortium, chairing the managing group.
We represent the sector in the play agenda and chair the play partnership.
One example of the benefit of this representational work has been the “Young People involvement in the Positive Activities indicator” becoming one of the key 27 priority indicator for the Local Area Agreement.
We have also used our knowledge to feed into the lobbying work of the Third Sector First Groups and it champions the whole sector in the newly emerging structures of the Public Services Sector.
