End of Year 2 - Last chance to bid for funding for youth led projects for 2009/10!!
There is still time to bid for ‘Youth Opportunity Fund’ money for projects to spend by 31st March 2010. Opportunity money can be spent on activities and projects up to £4,500 or equipment up to £1000. e.g pool table, football nets, air hockey table, equipment and materials for games.
So as not to be disappointed you should get
Applications in as soon as you can!
Young people aged 13-19 years, can apply to the Opportunity pot for from £50 up to £4,500 for activities and projects which they think are needed or would benefit young people in their area. It's about young people's ideas and only young people can apply - with the support of adults ;-) If you want to discuss your ideas for a project please contact Chrissie Cobourn or Rachel Barbee, Youth Involvement Workers, on 01432 383008.

The aim of the funds is to give a voice and influence to young people (13-19 years), particularly those facing disadvantage in relation to things to do and places to go. The funds must involve young people in identifying and deciding on a range of positive activities for themselves and their peers. Providing opportunities to lead projects, develop confidence, knowledge and skills in line with the Every Child Matters outcomes of: staying safe, being healthy, enjoying and achieving, economic wellbeing and making a positive contribution.
